Garbage Collection Changes
Starting in 2021, Real Disposal Services of Mansfield will be the Borough’s trash hauler. They will be taking over from NTSWA beginning with the first trash collection in January, 2021
For residents of the Borough, this means that new garbage stickers will be required for residential pick up. Additionally, residential trash collection for the entire Borough will occur early Tuesday morning. Initially, commercial dumpster collection will be Tuesdays. The Borough and Real Disposal will carefully monitor dumpster collection and modify commercial schedules as the needs change.

Community clean up, Christmas tree collection, and electronics recycling will continue to be provided.
The change comes after a competitive bidding process. The sole consideration was the projected cost to Borough residents. The Borough Council approved Real Disposal’s proposal at their Oct. 14, 2020 meeting.
Under the proposal, residents would pay the following amounts for garbage stickers:
The dumpster rates for 2021 are as follows:
1.5 Cubic Yard: $80/month
2 Cubic Yard: $90/month
3 Cubic Yard: $118/month
4 Cubic Yard: $140/month
6 Cubic Yard: $190/month
8 Cubic Yard: $240/month
Rental fees for dumpsters will be $10/month up to 4 cubic yards and $15/month for 6 or 8 cubic yards through the length of the contract. Dumpster rates for future years are available from the Borough Office.

Garbage stickers may be purchased at the Mansfield Borough Office or Pump & Pantry.
Effective January 1, 2020 the fee for Borough collection stickers is $2.65 per sticker.
