Assistant Police Chief Wanted

The Borough of Mansfield is accepting applications for a full-time assistant police chief who has completed the required police training in accordance with Act 120. This is a non-union, salary position. Qualified applicants will take the competitive Civil Service Examination on Wednesday, June 1 at 4 p.m. The physical agility portion of the exam will be administered at the YMCA with the written exam following at the Mansfield Borough Building. An interview with the personnel committee will be scheduled shortly thereafter. Police Officers Wanted

If a candidate is offered a part-time position, service will be on an hourly, as-needed basis pursuant to Section 1170(4) of Act 37. Public Works Employee

The Borough of Mansfield is accepting applications for a full time public works laborer/water plant operator/waste water plant operator. The successful candidate will be performing a wide variety of light and heavy physical labor, operating heavy equipment, working in water and waste water treatment plants as well as collection and distribution systems, plowing snow, and diagnosing/repairing mechanical systems. Preference will be given to candidates holding a CDL class A or B with air-brakes and tanker endorsements. The successful candidate will be expected to hold or obtain water and waste water certifications. Weekend rotations with flex time as well as occasional compensated overtime will be offered. This is an entry-level Union position with membership in Teamsters Local 118. Lifeguards Wanted

The Borough of Mansfield continues to accept applications for lifeguards for the 2022 season. Applications should be in letter form and include qualifications and work experience. Copies of qualifications for lifeguards should include such items as: current Lifeguarding Certificate, Adult CPR, and current first aid card. If you have not yet completed your lifeguarding certification, but plan to do so this summer, you are encouraged to apply. Applications will be received via mail or the drop box at the Mansfield Borough Office, 14 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA or by email at mansfieldmanager@ptd.net until all positions are filled.
