Public Works Laborer Wanted!
The Borough of Mansfield is accepting applications for a full-time public works laborer. The successful candidate will be performing a wide variety of light and heavy physical labor, including street repairs, operating heavy equipment, facility maintenance, snow plowing, and diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems. Work is performed under the supervision of the Superintendent.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a CDL Class A or B. Applicants who do not currently possess a CDL will be required to obtain one within one year of employment as a condition of continued employment.
Evening and weekend rotations with flex time, as well as compensated overtime, will be offered. This is an entry-level union position with membership in Teamsters Local 118. The compensation package includes fully funded health insurance, a defined pension plan, and generous paid time off.
This position will remain open until a successful candidate is selected and approved by Borough Council.
